Tips

Change Your Filter Regularly

The air filter keeps pollution and debris out of your HVAC system, ensuring proper and efficient operation. A dirty filter will slow down the air flow, making both the furnace work harder to heat your home and your A/C work harder to cool it. This waste energy and can result in higher energy bills. We suggest changing every 1-3 months depending on the type of filter you use.

Programmable Thermostat

The most significant benefit of using a programmable thermostat is the ability to preset the temperature during the day or night. By using the heat or air conditioning less when away from home, less energy is used which in turn leads to savings on the energy bill.

Sealing Your Ductwork

Make sure you are not losing your heat or air in attics or crawlspaces due to leaky ductwork. Having your ducts sealed properly can improve the efficiency of your home comfort system by as much as 20%, and sometimes much more.

Preventative Maintenance

Just as your car needs oil changes and tune-ups periodically, your home comfort system also needs routine maintenance inspections to ensure that it is running at its peak performance. During hot summer days, if your air conditioning is out, it can be quiet unbearable not just for you, but family and co-workers as well. The same is true of your heating. When the temperature drops, you should be able to depend on your thermostat to keep everyone cozy. The worst thing that can happen is for either to fail just when you need them. When you opt for our Preferred Partner Service Agreement, you are protecting yourself against these risks. Your home comfort system will be checked and serviced prior to each season.
